Brush & Lens

Through the lens of my camera and the words I write, I strive to capture the beauty in the overlooked details.

Through the lens of my camera and the words I write, I strive to capture the beauty in the overlooked details. This blog is my space to share that vision—blending images and reflections that speak about life, art, and everyday moments.

Maybe one day you will understand why certain things needed time to happen.

It took me a long time to realize something that was actually quite clear all along: my passion for photography, writing, and the arts. Today, I truly believe that the entire process of discovery — with all its twists and turns — was necessary to bring me to where I am now.

Art, creativity, and music have always been powerful threads connecting me to my parents. Growing up surrounded by these influences, I inherited certain gifts but, for many years, I tried to ignore them. Only recently, by embracing this path, have I come to understand how much I needed to discover this authentic version of myself.

When I was a child, my father bought the first cellphone with a camera and video. I remember spending days filming everything — myself, the house, the plants — even though the memory was limited. Years later, when I was 15, I got my first camera. At the time, I had to choose between a new phone, an iPad, or a camera. Without hesitation, I chose the camera. Maybe that should have answered many questions about who I wanted to be — but it wasn’t enough.

That’s when I understood something important: some things, no matter how obvious they seem, aren’t enough just to be experienced or felt. We need to go through phases, journeys, and moments of growth to truly understand why we want something. It’s not only about talents or aptitudes — it’s about knowing why we choose a path.

Having this clarity is fundamental to endure the days when everything feels uncertain or difficult. Passion for what we do is incredibly important — but knowing why we do it, discovering our purpose, changes everything. It’s what helps us grow — not just in skills, but in maturity.

In a world that moves faster every day, where everything demands speed and instant results, having the patience to walk our own path, savor the process, and discover ourselves is a rare and precious gift.
